“Caring Companions” are always available.
We refer to our caregivers as “Caring Companions” because we strive to only hire people that care about making a difference in the lives of the families they serve.
Our caregivers are professionally-trained to help people with their activities of daily living (ADL’s). To ensure our caregivers are well prepared, they are trained one-on-one by our RN and/or our Geriatric Care Coordinator for each client for the client’s specific needs (diagnosis, individual capabilities and goals, use of assistive devices, personality, etc.). In the event your loved one is living with a cognitive impairment, training usually includes the client’s life story and care techniques proven to create a positive outcome for the client and their family.
Caring Companions of Atlanta services include, but are not limited to:
- Assistance with ADL’s
- Eating and meal preparation
- Bathing and grooming
- Dressing
- Toileting and incontinence
- Ambulation and transfers
Other services:
- Medication reminders
- Hydration reminders
- Exercise assistance
- Meal planning
- Light housekeeping
- Linens and laundry
- Transportation for doctor appointments, general errands and grocery shopping
- Companionship and social activities
All of our professional caregivers are drug tested, background checked, licensed and trained as Certified Nursing Assistants. We have some of the best caregivers in the industry and use a very detailed process to select a caregiver that will be a great fit for each family.
Once a caregiver is selected and trained for your loved one, they are supervised by a care team to help with the transition and ongoing care. To learn more about our process, see Anatomy of Great Care.
