Caring Companions of Atlanta is excited to announce Lynn Ross has joined the management team as the Company’s Care Coordinator. Lynn will be leading care coordination services with families and helping them identify and prioritize critical components of their care plan that need to be addressed. She will be helping families navigate potential resources by providing referrals to other professionals, support groups and senior communities.
Lynn has had a storied career in social work and gerontology. She earned a masters in Social Work form Valdosta State University and most recently worked as a medical social worker in the Movement Disorders Program in the Department of Neurology at Emory. Other career stops included time as the director of an Alzheimer’s day program, serving as a geriatric care manager for an eldercare law firm and working in a skilled nursing facility. Over the past ten years, Lynn was responsible for providing information and education to people and their families living with Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disease and a number of other neurological conditions involving movement. Her responsibilities included counseling patients, leading support groups and using her extensive knowledge in senior resources to refer patients as needed.
