Home Care in Atlanta GA
The older I get the more I realize the Holidays are more about memories (new and old) than anything else. We all have our family traditions that define how we celebrate. I remember my brother and I living in Philadelphia as a children. Christmas morning featured a blur of lights, cats getting into wrapping paper and my mom and dad happily soaking it all in…grandparents too occasionally.
We moved to Chicago in the late ’60’s and for years we had a tradition of making Mexican food for Christmas Eve?! No sure where that came from! In 1979 Chicago got 29″ of snow just after Christmas and I recall vacant busses and cars littering the streets and many, many snow days!
Now I have my own family. My mom has moved on but my dad and step mom still make an annual pilgrimage to Atlanta for the Holidays. The cheer of the holidays never fades but the glow of the memories is what really is etched into my mind.
So, whatever your belief or traditions…happy holidays to you and “yours.” And, for the record…as the picture proves…I have been to the North Pole and DO know the big guy!
